 What is electronics?

According to the Royal Spanish Academy, electronics can be defined as the study and application of the behavior of electrons in various scenarios. These can be vacuum, gases and semiconductors subjected to the action of electric and magnetic fields. 

In less academic language, electronics is defined as a branch of physics with technical and scientific features. It studies physical systems based on the conduction and control of electron flow.

In short, we can say that electronics deals with electron devices and their use, for which it relies on various disciplines such as engineering and technology.
